Strategic Networking • Relationship-Building • Business Development
You may be meeting people and growing your network — but are those connections developing into meaningful professional relationships?
Most professionals already know that networking matters. The harder part is knowing who to connect with, how to start meaningful conversations, what to do after the first meeting, and how to build professional relationships over time.
This practical, interactive workshop moves networking beyond collecting contacts. Participants learn how to approach relationship-building with greater confidence and intention — creating the conditions for referrals, introductions, partnerships, clients, career opportunities and collaboration.
Designed for:
Participants learn how to approach networking as intentional relationship-building rather than a numbers game.
They will work on:
Adaptable from a focused 1-hour session to a full-day hands-on workshop
More networking isn't always better networking. Participants look at their professional, career or business goals, their existing network and the people, organizations and communities they would benefit from knowing. The focus is on becoming more intentional about who you want to meet and why.
Participants develop a natural way to explain who they are, what they do and what they are looking for — without relying on an awkward or overly rehearsed elevator pitch.
How do you approach someone you don't know? What do you ask after “What do you do?” Participants practise conversation starters, meaningful questions and ways to find genuine professional common ground.
LinkedIn becomes a tool for supporting relationships rather than collecting connections. Participants explore how to connect before and after events, engage meaningfully and stay visible within their professional network.
A new contact only becomes a relationship when something happens after the first meeting. Participants practise follow-up and explore practical ways to reconnect, stay in touch and add value without making every interaction transactional.
How do professional relationships eventually lead to referrals, introductions, partnerships, clients, collaborations or career opportunities? Participants explore how to recognize those moments and move relationships forward while maintaining trust and mutual value.
